“Get Talking” the term we use at Fair Practice to jumpstart the process of mediation. It works effectively by saving time and is less costly because of the direct communication between the people involved.
This enables each person to understand the others point of view, they may not necessarily agree with it, but its a start to allow each person an opportunity to voice their concerns and overcome any frustrations and misunderstanding.
By using the impartial approach of mediation, mediators able to uplift and empower each persons involvement in the process in order to create effective communication sessions within the process and a sustainable relationship when the people leave their sessions. This relieves each person from feeling that they have been short changed or left unheard.
During the “Get Talking” process of mediation the people involved are given a voice to discuss with one another, within a safe and well balanced environment, their options punctuated by the information given by the mediator with regard to the appropriate law and psychological and social implications their decisions may have on themselves and/or their children to find workable, realistic solutions.
At Fair Practice, it is certain that together with you, we are able to inform you adequately and guide you towards reaching your own reasonably and jointly created memorandum of understanding, parenting plans and any other agreements pertaining to your issues.
Give mediation a consideration for resolving your conflict and you will achieve an outcome that works harmoniously for everyone.
